Hugh Stewart
Hugh Stewart is the son of founding author Jean Cantlie Stewart and is now chairman of Rowan Books. Following in Jean’s footsteps he attended the University of St Andrews and then worked in industry for seven years followed by a career spanning over thirty years in venture capital, backing young companies and helping them to grow. He has founded two businesses including Shackleton Ventures where he is Chairman. Hugh retained the family’s naval tradition by joining the Royal Naval Reserve, where he volunteered as an ordinary seaman and subsequently earned a commission. Hugh and Wendy maintain an active interest in the sea and keep a classic boat on the West of Scotland. Hugh has recently joined the family of authors, writing Cocktails & Kicktails.
Wendy Stewart
Wendy Stewart is Rowan Books’ Administration Manager. She has experience in training, tele-sales, customer services, and international exhibition management. She holds a BA Hons Social Sciences degree from Leicester University and speaks French fluently. Wendy is Company Secretary of Shackleton Ventures where she helped Hugh and others to build the business since its formation in 2006. Aside from sailing with Hugh she has many interest including being a keen violinist.
Keith Morris
Keith Morris is Rowan Books’ Commercial Director. Keith has over three decades experience in the management of commercial and technical information. He provided information services to British Aerospace, Saudi Arabian Ministry of Finance, Caribbean Development Bank, London Chamber of Commerce and the government of Bahrain national archive. He then moved into the oil and gas sphere, working for Shell and then for oil companies in Libya and Qatar. Keith is an avid reader and loves historical literature. He is also a keen golfer and in 2012 was country representative at the Volvo World Amateur Golf Championship in South Africa.
